FAQ

  • What modalities do you use in your work?

I use an integrated psychodynamic approach that explores unconscious patterns, internal parts, and emotional dynamics. Our work includes attention to both thoughts and the somatic felt experience, helping you connect mind and body. This creates space for deeper self-awareness, healing, and lasting change.

  • Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?

Yes, I offer in-person therapy in San Francisco and virtual sessions to clients anywhere in California. You can choose the format that works best for your needs and lifestyle.

  • What can I expect in the first therapy session?

Our first session is a change to get to know each other. I’ll ask questions about what’s bringing you to therapy, your history, and your goals. You’re welcome to go at your own pace — there’s no rush or pressure to share everything all at once.

  • How long are therapy sessions?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes long. Extended sessions (for example, 75 minutes for couples) may be available upon request.

  • What is your fee? Do you accept insurance?

My full is $175 per 50-minute session. I do not bill insurance directly, but I can provide you a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement. A limited number of sliding scale spots based on your financial situation are also available — please feel free to ask about availability.

  • Who do you work with?

I work with individuals across the lifespan and couples. Whether you’re navigating identity exploration or relational pain, I’m here to support you. As a BIPOC therapist, I bring cultural curiosity and a deep respect for your identity and lived experience.

  • How often do we meet?

I meet with clients weekly, which helps create consistency and momentum in the therapeutic process. We can discuss alternative frequencies that feel more supportive and sustainable as we move along in our work together.

  • Is everything I share confidential?

Yes. What you share in therapy is confidential, with a few legal exceptions, such as if there’s a risk of harm to yourself or others. I’ll go over confidentiality in more detail during our first session.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

I have a 24 hour notice policy to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or missed sessions will be charged the full fee.
