Helping you find your way back to each other

Emotionally focused couple & family therapy in-person in San Francisco and virtually in California

Relationships can be one of the most meaningful parts of our lives, and also one of the hardest.

If you and your partner, family member, or close friend, are experiencing any of the following relationship challenges, you’re in the right place:

  • Communication feels hard—conversations often turn into arguments, or you feel like you're not being heard

  • You’ve grown apart and don’t feel as close or connected as you once did

  • Trust has been broken, whether through infidelity, secrecy, or emotional distance

  • You're facing a major life change—like moving, starting a family, or navigating loss or illness

  • Intimacy feels distant, physically or emotionally, and you miss the closeness you once shared

  • You keep having the same arguments and can’t seem to break the cycle

  • You want to strengthen your relationship, deepen your connection, or simply be more intentional together

Couple & family therapy offers a space to slow down, get curious, and begin again, with care, honesty, and intention.

As a couple & family therapist, my goal is to create a space where everyone in the relationship feel heard, respected, and understood. I don’t take sides or assign blame. Instead, I help you slow down, get curious about your patterns, and start having the conversations that actually bring you closer.

In our work, I offer more than just a place to vent—I bring tools, structure, and a supportive space to help you:

  • Communicate more effectively (and with less reactivity)

  • Rebuild trust after hurt or betrayal

  • Navigate conflict without getting stuck in blame or shutdown

  • Strengthen emotional and physical intimacy

  • Reconnect as teammates—not just roommates, parents, or problem-solvers

FAQs

  • Couples and family therapy can include two or more people, such as romantic partners, family members, friends, or people in professional relationships. At the beginning of our work together, we will clarify who is part of the therapeutic unit. The unit as a whole is considered the client, and we will review treatment expectations and the limits of confidentiality from the outset.

  • I offer in-person sessions in the Marina District of San Francisco.

I also provide virtual sessions via Zoom, as long as clients are located in California at the time of our session. When meeting online, I ask that all members of the therapeutic unit join from the same physical space during the session.

  • I ask that all members of the therapeutic unit commit to weekly sessions during our work together. Consistent weekly meetings support the most effective progress and allow us to build on our work from one session to the next.

  • My full fee for couples therapy is $200 per 50-minute session. Longer sessions (eg. 75 minute sessions) are pro-rated and this is discussed prior to arranging a longer session. I do not bill insurance directly, but I can provide you a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement. A limited number of sliding scale spots based on your financial situation are also available — please feel free to ask about availability.
